Kandra Jackson Scullin has been a working artist, part-time professor and public school art teacher for the past 20 years. Kandra taught at Calstate San Bernardino for over 20 years where she taught awesome students art education and studio classes. Kandra's home and studio are in Yucaipa, CA, where she lives with her husband Patrick, a comic book artist. Together they have 2 adult sons who are also very artistic.
Kandra's teaching philosophy is centered around the concept that art is a natural form of expression for all humans and everyone can discover innate art Story telling skills.
Kandra's personal art often centers around contemplative female portraits sometimes appropriated from other artists and always depicting powerful women from many eras. Kandra's MFA degree is in Intaglio etching, but she draws and paints as well.
