Kandra Jackson Scullin has been a working artist and part-time professor of art for the past 20 years. At Calstate San Bernardino, she has taught art education and studio classes to students from all walks of life. Kandra's home and studio are in Yucaipa, CA, where she lives with her husband and sons, all of them artists as well.
Kandra's teaching philosophy is centered around the concept that art is a natural form of expression for all humans and everyone can discover innate art skills.
Kandra's personal art often centers around contemplative female portraits sometimes appropriated from other artists and always depicting powerful women from many eras. Kandra's MFA degree is in Intaglio old-style etching, but she also draws and paints as well.
